Middlesbrough Tees Pride is a 10 km Road Race and a 3 km Fun Run. It is organised by Middlesbrough Council who apply Road Closure Acts for the duration of the event. It is believed that this is the largest 10 km event in the north of England. Competitors run, walk, hobble and race wheelchairs over the 10 km (6.2 mile) route on public roads. In 2007, the 10 km Road Race had 2,400 runners and the 3 km Fun Run had 600 runners. Cleveland RAYNET Group, assisted by other RAYNET groups, provide comms. to help the safe administration of the event. Middlesbrough Council MTP Website
